Aphidalia (Adalia bipunctata) PRE ORDER
Aphidalia (Adalia bipunctata) PRE ORDER
Control aphid infestations naturally with Aphidalia, a biological pest control solution containing predatory beetles (Adalia bipunctata), also known as two-spotted ladybirds. Both adult beetles and their larvae are voracious aphid predators, consuming all life stages of aphids across various species. Female beetles lay eggs within aphid colonies, ensuring that newly hatched larvae continue to feed on aphids throughout their development—providing ongoing, sustainable pest control.
Apply Aphidalia at the first sign of aphid activity for best results. Each unit contains 100 larvae in a cotton bag filled with buckwheat hulls as a carrier. To use, open the bag and attach it to a tree near the first branch using a nail or wire stitch. Apply one bag per 25 cm of stem diameter, up to a maximum of three bags per tree, and adjust based on tree size, pest pressure, and local climate conditions. For customized application rates, consult a Koppert advisor or certified distributor.
Adalia bipunctata performs best at temperatures between 15–30°C (59–86°F), with reduced activity outside this range. It is highly effective in orchard, greenhouse, and landscape environments where aphids are present.
Compatibility: Avoid using insecticides harmful to beneficial beetles, as these may reduce effectiveness. Always confirm pesticide compatibility before treatment to protect beneficial populations.
Storage: Apply immediately after receipt. If storage is necessary, keep for 1–2 days at 8–10°C (47–50°F) in a dark, well-ventilated space to preserve beetle viability.
Note: Use only in crops and regions where permitted, following all local regulations and product registration guidelines. Koppert is not liable for product degradation or reduced efficacy caused by improper handling or storage.
The Aphidalia biological control system offers an eco-friendly, effective alternative to chemical insecticides—ensuring healthier plants and long-term aphid suppression through natural predation.
