Step-by-Step: How to Grow from Seed
1. Choose Your Seeds Wisely
Start with easy growers like:
-
Herbs: Basil, Parsley, Cilantro
-
Veggies: Lettuce, Tomatoes, Peppers
-
Flowers: Marigolds, Zinnias, Cosmos
2. Prep Your Trays
Fill your seed trays or pots with a sterile seed-starting mix. Avoid garden soil — it’s too heavy for young roots.
3. Plant Your Seeds
Follow the seed packet for depth (usually 2x the size of the seed). Plant 2–3 seeds per cell and gently press them in.
4. Water Gently
Use a mister to moisten the soil without washing the seeds away. Keep the soil moist but never soggy.
Mossify Misters are designed for the perfect fine mist — your seedlings will thank you!
5. Provide Warmth & Light
Most seeds love a warm spot (65–75°F). Use a heat mat if needed. Once sprouted, give them 12–16 hours of light daily using grow lights.
Our LED Grow Lights mimic natural sunlight and help avoid leggy, weak seedlings.
6. Thin & Transplant
When seedlings get their second set of leaves (called true leaves), thin them out so the strongest remain. Once roots fill their starter tray, transplant them into larger pots or your garden.
