Keep evenly moist: Basil, cilantro, parsley, dill – they prefer consistently moist soil but dislike soggy roots.
Let soil dry slightly between waterings: Mint, oregano, thyme – these Mediterranean herbs are more drought-tolerant and thrive in slightly drier conditions.
Care Tips ▾
Soil:
All herbs prefer well-draining soil.
Use a rich potting mix with compost for basil, cilantro, parsley, and dill.
Add sand or perlite for better drainage when growing mint, thyme, and oregano.
Fertilizer:
Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2–4 weeks during the growing season.
