These plants are grown in-house by Urbane Eight using seeds from West Coast Seeds, ensuring strong genetics, healthy growth, and reliable pepper production. Ghost peppers are widely known for their fiery heat and are commonly used sparingly in hot sauces, powders, and cooking applications that require extreme spice.It is one of the hottest peppers in the world, measuring over 1 million Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Its heat typically ranges between 855,000 and 1,041,427+ SHU, making it the first pepper ever officially recorded to surpass the 1 million SHU mark. Ghost peppers are over 100 times hotter than a jalapeño and are most commonly used in hot sauces, powders, and extreme heat challenges rather than eaten raw.

Ghost chili plants produce elongated, wrinkled peppers that mature from green to red as they ripen. While famous for their heat, the peppers also carry subtle fruity and smoky notes when fully mature. Sun Requirements ▾

Bright light is essential for healthy growth and pepper production. Ghost chili plants thrive in bright indirect light and benefit from several hours of direct sunlight each day. When grown outdoors, they perform best in full sun. Insufficient light can result in poor flowering, leggy growth, and reduced yields. Supplemental grow lighting may be beneficial for indoor growing.

Watering Instructions ▾

Watering should be done when the top portion of the soil begins to dry out. Ghost chili plants prefer evenly moist soil but do not tolerate waterlogged conditions. Allowing the soil to dry out completely can stress the plant and reduce fruit production, while overwatering may lead to root issues.
