    Sun Requirements ▾

    Full sun. Plant in a location receiving at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Full sun promotes vigorous growth, dense branching, healthy foliage, and the brightest fall colour.

    Watering Instructions ▾

    Moderate. Water regularly during the first several growing seasons. Once established, Guardian™ Columnar Aspen is moderately drought tolerant but performs best with occasional deep watering during prolonged dry periods.

    Care Tips ▾

    Water deeply during establishment to encourage a strong root system. Prune only as needed during late winter to remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Apply mulch around the root zone to conserve moisture and moderate soil temperatures, keeping mulch several centimetres away from the trunk. A moisture meter is a great way to gauge your plant's moisture levels.
