Jewel of Desert Topaz Ice Plant (Delosperma ‘Jewel of Desert Topaz’) is a bright, low-growing succulent perennial known for its warm orange flowers and spreading groundcover habit. This colourful ice plant produces masses of daisy-like blooms over fleshy green foliage, creating a vivid carpet of colour in sunny garden spaces. Its compact growth and long bloom period make it well-suited for rock gardens, borders, raised beds, slopes, and containers.

Like other Delosperma varieties, Jewel of Desert Topaz is valued for its excellent drought tolerance once established. It performs best in full sun and sharply drained soil, where its succulent foliage can remain healthy without excess moisture around the roots. In Canadian Prairie gardens, drainage is especially important because winter wetness is often more damaging than cold temperatures.
