Kintsugi and Self love workshop
Kintsugi and Self love workshop
Join us for a cozy, creative Kintsugi-inspired evening in the greenhouse, where we’ll turn broken pieces into something even more beautiful than before. Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repair that treats cracks and breakage as part of an object’s story, not something to hide. Instead of disguising the damage, the repair is highlighted, celebrating the imperfect, the real, and the resilient.
In this workshop, we’ll be working with pots that are already broken. You’ll intentionally break them further, then rebuild and repair them using gold leaf, moss, and natural texture to bring the cracks to life. The goal isn’t to make the pot look new again, it’s to make it uniquely yours, with every line and seam becoming part of the design.
Alongside the art, we’ll be doing a gentle, guided self-love and acceptance practice. This isn’t therapy and I’m not a therapist, it’s simply a few exercises and reflections I’m sharing from my own personal work, lived experience, and classes I’ve taken. Think of it as a supportive, low-pressure moment to slow down, let go of negative self-talk, and make space for kinder, more positive thoughts about who you are.
Kintsugi reminds us that none of us are meant to be perfect. Our scars, our history, and the parts of us that have been through something are not flaws to cover up, they’re proof that we’ve lived, healed, and kept going. Just like these pots, we come back together in ways that are stronger, more layered, and more beautiful because of what we’ve walked through.
Come create something meaningful with your hands, breathe in the greenhouse calm, and leave with a one-of-a-kind piece that tells a story..yours.
