Water thoroughly when the upper portion of the growing medium begins to dry, allowing excess water to drain freely. Avoid keeping the roots continuously saturated, but do not allow the plant to remain severely dry for extended periods. Watering requirements generally decrease during slower winter growth. A moisture meter can help determine whether moisture remains deeper within the pot before watering again.

Care Tips ▾

Grow Lipstick Plant ‘Twister’ in a loose, well-aerated and well-draining potting medium that retains some moisture without remaining saturated. Moderate to higher humidity can support healthy tropical growth, but good airflow is also important.
