Living Stone Lithops (Lithops spp.)

Living Stone Lithops (Lithops spp.) are fascinating miniature succulents famous for their remarkable resemblance to small stones or pebbles. Native to the arid regions of southern Africa, these plants have evolved thick paired leaves that mimic surrounding rocks as natural camouflage. Each Lithops plant consists of two thick fleshy leaves separated by a narrow fissure where new leaves and occasional daisy-like flowers emerge.
