Presto White Geranium (Pelargonium)

Presto White Geranium (Pelargonium)

Presto White Geranium (Pelargonium × hortorum ‘Presto White’) is a classic zonal geranium admired for its brilliant pure white flower clusters, lush green foliage, and reliable season-long performance. This elegant variety produces abundant rounded flower heads from late spring until the first autumn frost, adding timeless beauty to containers, window boxes, hanging baskets, borders, and landscape beds.

The crisp white blooms create a clean, sophisticated display that pairs beautifully with nearly every flower colour, making Presto White an excellent choice for monochromatic plantings or mixed container designs. The flowers are held above attractive deep green foliage with the characteristic zonal leaf markings, providing texture and visual interest even between bloom cycles. Bees and other beneficial pollinators frequently visit the blooms throughout the growing season.

Presto White develops a compact, upright, and well-branched habit, offering excellent weather tolerance and dependable flowering even during Alberta's warm summer months. Its tidy growth and continuous bloom production make it a favourite for patios, front entrances, balconies, and public landscape displays.

In Alberta, Presto White Geranium thrives in sunny locations and provides dependable colour and outstanding performance from planting time until frost.

Sun Requirements ▾

Full sun to part sun. Plant in a location receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily for the heaviest flowering. In Alberta, light afternoon shade is beneficial during periods of extreme summer heat.

Watering Instructions ▾

Moderate. Water thoroughly when the top portion of the soil begins to dry. Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings, as geraniums perform best in well-drained soil and dislike consistently wet conditions.

Care Tips ▾

Remove spent flower clusters regularly to encourage continuous blooming and maintain a tidy appearance. Feed every one to two weeks with a balanced flowering fertilizer throughout the growing season for maximum flower production. A moisture meter is a great way to gauge your plant's moisture levels.
