Simmer Pot Workshop | Create Your Own Botanical Simmer Pot at Urbane Eight

A little warmth, a little intention, and something beautiful to take home.

Join us at Urbane Eight for a cozy, hands-on evening exploring the art of simmer pots. Whether you're creating something special for yourself or a thoughtful handmade gift for someone you love, this workshop is all about slowing down, getting creative, and enjoying the simple beauty of natural botanicals.

Simmer pots have been used for generations to fill homes with beautiful, comforting aromas. By gently simmering combinations of dried fruits, fragrant herbs, spices, and botanicals, you can create a naturally inviting atmosphere without artificial fragrances.

Throughout the evening, you'll explore the tradition of simmer pots, discover the different ingredients and their aromatic qualities, and learn how to combine botanicals to create your own signature blend.

And because we believe the packaging should be just as beautiful as what's inside, you'll also have the opportunity to decorate and personalize your simmer pot jar. We'll provide creative materials and tools to make your finished jar uniquely yours, whether you're keeping it or gifting it.

Your workshop includes a jar,  selection of dried fruits, herbs, spices, and botanicals to create your own simmer pot blend, a glass jar to package your creation, decorative materials to personalize your jar, and a take-home guide exploring the history of simmer pots, ingredient combinations, and instructions for enjoying your blend at home. You will also be able to make a bag to hang in your car for a little fresh aroma as you go about your day.

No experience is necessary. Just come ready to get creative, enjoy a cozy evening at the greenhouse, and leave with something handmade, beautifully fragrant, and a little bit magical.

Come for the experience. Leave with a little something to warm your home or someone else's.
