    Tiger Eyes® Cutleaf Staghorn Sumac (Rhus typhina ‘Tiger Eyes®’) is a striking ornamental shrub known for its finely cut golden foliage and dramatic architectural form. The deeply dissected leaves emerge chartreuse-yellow in spring and intensify to brilliant shades of orange, red, and scarlet in fall, creating exceptional seasonal interest.

    Sun Requirements ▾

    Full sun to part shade. Plant in a location receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily for the brightest golden foliage and the most intense fall colour. Light afternoon shade is tolerated but may slightly reduce foliage intensity.

    Watering Instructions ▾

    Low to Moderate. Water regularly during establishment to develop a strong root system. Once established, Tiger Eyes® is highly drought tolerant and requires only occasional deep watering during extended dry periods. Avoid consistently wet or poorly drained soil.

    Care Tips ▾

    Prune in late winter or early spring to remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches if needed. Remove root suckers if you wish to maintain a tidy specimen plant, or allow them to spread naturally for a larger colony. Apply mulch around the base to conserve moisture during establishment. A moisture meter is a great way to gauge your plant's moisture levels.
