Alocasia Pink Polly Variegated (Alocasia × amazonica ‘Pink Polly Variegated’)

Alocasia Pink Polly Variegated (Alocasia × amazonica ‘Pink Polly Variegated’) is an exceptionally rare collector's houseplant prized for its dramatic arrow-shaped foliage, striking cream and white variegation, and vibrant pink petioles. This highly sought-after cultivar combines the bold architectural form of the classic Polly Alocasia with unpredictable marbled variegation and colourful stems, making every plant completely unique.

The glossy, dark green leaves are accented by bold white veins and splashes, sectors, or marbling of creamy white and pale green. Its compact upright habit makes it an outstanding statement plant for collectors, bringing exotic beauty to plant cabinets, greenhouses, and bright indoor living spaces.

Alocasia Pink Polly Variegated performs beautifully in decorative containers, collector displays, greenhouse benches, plant cabinets, and bright indoor spaces. It pairs exceptionally well with variegated Monsteras, Philodendrons, Anthuriums, Syngoniums, and other rare tropical aroids, creating sophisticated displays filled with contrasting foliage colours and textures.

Sun Requirements ▾

Bright indirect light. An LED grow light can help maintain healthy growth in spaces with limited natural light. Bright filtered light helps maintain vibrant variegation and strong growth while protecting the foliage from scorching. Avoid prolonged direct afternoon sunlight, which may burn the variegated portions of the leaves.

Watering Instructions ▾

Water when the top 2–5 cm (1–2 inches) of soil begins to dry while keeping the potting mix consistently moist but never saturated. Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix and always allow excess water to drain freely. Reduce watering slightly during winter as growth slows.

Care Tips ▾

Maintain humidity above 60% whenever possible to encourage healthy growth and help new leaves unfurl properly. Because variegated foliage contains less chlorophyll, this plant benefits from brighter indirect light than solid green varieties. Wipe leaves regularly to remove dust and inspect frequently for spider mites and thrips. Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced houseplant fertilizer at half strength. A moisture meter is a great way to gauge your plant's moisture levels.
