Angelina Stonecrop (Sedum rupestre ‘Angelina’)
Angelina Stonecrop (Sedum rupestre ‘Angelina’)
Angelina Stonecrop is a low-growing, succulent perennial valued for its vibrant golden foliage and spreading habit. This cultivar of Sedum rupestre is known for its bright colour and ability to thrive in tough, dry conditions.
This evergreen succulent forms a dense mat of needle-like foliage that emerges bright yellow-green and intensifies to golden tones in full sun. In cooler weather, the foliage can develop orange hues, adding seasonal interest. In early to mid-summer, small yellow star-shaped flowers may appear above the foliage.
Angelina Sedum is well-suited for groundcover, rock gardens, containers, and edging. Its trailing habit makes it ideal for cascading over walls and filling in dry, sunny spaces.

Sun Requirements ▾
Full sun. Provide at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day for the brightest golden foliage, dense growth, and strongest overall performance. Light partial shade can be tolerated, but plants grown with insufficient sunlight typically become greener and may develop a looser habit.
Watering Instructions ▾
Low. Water regularly but sparingly during establishment, allowing the soil to dry between waterings. Once established, Angelina is highly drought tolerant and generally requires supplemental water only during extended periods of hot, dry weather. Overwatering and persistently wet soil should be avoided.
Care Tips ▾
Plant in exceptionally well-draining soil and avoid locations where water collects around the roots or crown. Angelina requires little fertilizer and generally performs best in leaner soil. Trim or remove spreading stems whenever necessary to maintain the desired shape and size. Excellent drainage during winter and spring snowmelt is especially important. A moisture meter is a great way to gauge your plant's moisture levels.
