Sun Requirements ▾

Place the planted grow card in a bright location with plenty of natural light. A bright windowsill or area receiving strong, indirect light is ideal for developing healthy green microgreens. Some gentle direct sunlight can be beneficial, but monitor moisture carefully in sunny locations because the small growing pouch may dry more quickly. If growing near a very hot window, avoid prolonged intense sunlight that causes the growing medium to dry excessively or overheats the young seedlings.

Watering Instructions ▾

After opening the grow pouch, add approximately 1/3 cup of water to the dehydrated coconut coir growing medium and stir. Add the seeds and gently mix them just below the surface. After planting, keep the growing medium consistently moist but not waterlogged. Mist or water lightly as needed, checking the growing medium regularly because the small pouch can dry relatively quickly. Avoid leaving standing water in the pouch or excessively saturating the growing medium.

Care Tips ▾

Kale microgreens are quick and relatively easy to grow. After planting, keep the growing medium evenly moist and place the pouch in a bright location. Consistent moisture, adequate light and comfortable indoor temperatures will support healthy germination and growth. Avoid allowing the growing medium to become completely dry or excessively saturated. Once the seedlings emerge, good airflow around the microgreens can also help maintain healthy growth. Harvest when the microgreens have developed their young leaves and reached the desired size, generally within approximately 1–2 weeks.
