Water when the top 1 inch of soil feels dry.
Keep soil consistently moist, but not soggy.
Use distilled or filtered water, as Calatheas are sensitive to salts and minerals in tap water.

Soil:
Grows best in a well-draining, moisture-retentive potting mix.
