Chameleon Little Bluestem is a striking ornamental grass valued for its ever-changing foliage colours and upright, airy form. This cultivar of Schizachyrium scoparium is known for its seasonal colour shifts, making it a standout feature in landscape designs.

This warm-season grass forms a narrow, upright clump of fine-textured blades. Foliage emerges blue-green in spring, transitions to shades of pink, red, and purple through summer, and deepens to rich copper and bronze tones in fall. In late summer, delicate seed heads add texture and movement.
