Dragon’s Blood Stonecrop (Sedum spurium ‘Dragon’s Blood’)

Dragon’s Blood Stonecrop is a low-growing, spreading perennial valued for its rich red-toned foliage and seasonal colour changes. This cultivar of Sedum spurium is known for its ability to form a dense, colourful groundcover in sunny, dry conditions.

This mat-forming succulent produces rounded green leaves that develop deep red to burgundy tones, especially in full sun and cooler weather. In mid to late summer, it produces clusters of small, star-shaped red flowers that rise just above the foliage, attracting pollinators such as bees.

Dragon’s Blood Sedum is well-suited for groundcover, rock gardens, borders, and container planting. Its spreading habit makes it ideal for filling in spaces, cascading over edges, and adding year-round interest.
