Epipremnum Esqueleto
Epipremnum ‘Esqueleto’
Delicate in appearance but vigorous in growth, Epipremnum ‘Esqueleto’ is a rare and highly sought-after tropical climber prized for its striking fenestrated foliage. Its long, lance-shaped leaves develop deep natural perforations that give it a skeletal, lace-like look—hence the name "Esqueleto." As it matures, this plant transforms into a dramatic, jungle-inspired centerpiece with proper support and bright conditions.

Sun Requirements ▾
Bright, indirect light is best to maintain strong growth and develop those gorgeous fenestrations (leaf holes).
Can tolerate medium light, but you may see less dramatic leaf structure.
Avoid harsh direct sun, especially during the afternoon, which can scorch the leaves. A few hours of morning sun is okay if filtered.
Watering Instructions ▾
Water when the top 2 inches of soil feel dry.
This plant likes a consistent watering routine but does not enjoy soggy soil. Make sure your pot has good drainage and never let it sit in water.
In lower light or cooler months, scale back watering frequency.
Care Tips ▾
Use a well-draining soil mix, such as a chunky aroid mix with perlite and orchid bark.
Provide a moss pole or support—it climbs in nature, and supporting it encourages larger, fenestrated leaves.
Thrives in moderate to high humidity. If your home is dry, a pebble tray or humidifier can help.
Prefers temps between 18–27°C (65–80°F). Avoid cold drafts or sudden temperature drops.
Fertilize monthly in spring and summer with a balanced houseplant fertilizer to support strong growth.
