Sun Requirements ▾

This plant adapts well to a wide range of lighting conditions, from low light to bright indirect light. While Lucky ZZ (Wide Leaf) can tolerate low-light environments, brighter indirect light encourages stronger growth and fuller foliage. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as prolonged exposure can scorch the leaves.

Watering Instructions ▾

Watering should be done only when the soil has dried out almost completely. Lucky ZZ (Wide Leaf) is highly drought tolerant due to its thick rhizomes and fleshy stems, and overwatering is the most common cause of issues. Excess moisture can lead to root or rhizome rot. During the winter months, watering should be reduced significantly, as the plant requires very little water when growth slows.

Care Tips ▾

Lucky ZZ (Wide Leaf) prefers a warm, stable environment and adapts easily to average household conditions. It performs best in a well-draining potting mix that allows excess moisture to escape, as its rhizomes are sensitive to prolonged wetness. This plant does not require frequent repotting and benefits from being slightly root-bound. It should be protected from cold temperatures and drafts, as prolonged exposure to cold can damage the foliage.
