Available in coarse and fine grades, it can be tailored to your plant’s needs: coarse perlite is best for cacti, succulents, and plants that need maximum drainage, while fine perlite is ideal for seed starting, seedlings, and delicate roots that require balanced moisture and airflow.

Coarse Perlite – Best For Drainage & Aeration

• Prevents root rot in dense soils

• Perfect for succulents, cacti, and drought-tolerant plants

• Can be used in propagation trays or as a drainage layer in planters

How to Use:

• Mix ½ cup coarse perlite into every 2 cups of dense soil

• Place 1–2 cups in a shallow tray for cuttings

• Add to the bottom of pots to reduce waterlogging

Fine Perlite – Best For Seed Starting & Sensitive Roots

• Ideal for germination and seedlings

• Helps retain gentle moisture while improving airflow

• Great for delicate cuttings and young plants

How to Use:

• Mix into seed-starting blends for improved germination

• Blend into potting soil for plants with delicate roots

• Use in propagation trays for smaller cuttings
