Once established, Oriental Poppies tolerate relatively dry conditions. Reduce watering as plants naturally enter summer dormancy and avoid persistently wet soil.

Care Tips ▾

Remove faded flowers if a tidy appearance is desired, or leave the decorative seed heads standing for additional garden interest. Allow foliage to naturally yellow and die back before removing it. Oriental Poppies develop deep taproots and generally dislike being transplanted once established, so select their permanent location carefully.
