Sun Requirements ▾

Full sun is required for strong stems and abundant blooms. Provide at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Insufficient light will result in leggy growth and reduced flower production.

Watering Instructions ▾

Water regularly during establishment. Once mature, cosmos tolerates moderate dryness. Avoid overwatering or consistently saturated soil, as excess moisture can reduce flowering and weaken stems.

Care Tips ▾

Sensation Mix Cosmos grows best in well-draining soil and performs well even in average to moderately poor soils. Excessive fertility can lead to lush foliage at the expense of blooms. As a warm-season annual, it prefers stable temperatures and average outdoor humidity. Good air circulation supports strong stems and prolonged flowering. Direct sow Sensation Mix Cosmos seeds outdoors after the final frost once soil temperatures have warmed. Seeds germinate best in soil temperatures between 18–24°C. Lightly cover seeds with soil and keep evenly moist during germination. Plants begin flowering in approximately 60–75 days and continue blooming until frost. Deadheading encourages continued flower production.
